Crusing Waters for OTYS

Recently Lake Benmore was the meeting place for about 20 yachts from Timaru, Dunedin and Christchurch over the Easter Break. Shown here is a photo from above Scrubby Gully showing Black Jacks Island on the left which was used for the Easter Cruise fun race. The winner of this race gets to organise it again next year. Several spot prizes are given out as well and a lot of fun is had by all.

THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING and Prize Giving / Dinner

Saturday 8th June 2013 venue Otago Yacht Club – Clubhouse, 25 Magnet Street,
Dunedin.

The PRIZE GIVING - DINNER will follow the AGM at the same venue at approximately
7:30pm.
O.T.Y.S. TROPHIES:
Members who hold O.T.Y.S. Trophies from the 2012/2013 season, are requested to
return them to Alex Bruce, Allans Sheetmetal and Engineering Services Ltd, 8 Otaki
Street or to 24 Takahe Terrace, St Leonards, on or before 27th May 2012, for
engraving for the 2013/2014 season winners.

For new member to the club the Mid Winter Cruise is a boatless social cruise in conjunction with the Timaru Yacht and Powerboat Club.  We take turn about running the event and this year it is Timaru’s turn.  It’s a real opportunity to meet some Timaru people and also mix with club members in a different setting.
